چکیده
Abstract The amount of silicon in naphtha must be controlled because it results silica deposits vehicle components, such as spark plugs, catalytic converters, and oxygen sensors, which can lead to fuel economy degradation, increased emissions, damage converters. Naphtha has low specific gravity high volatility; plasma does not form during analysis using inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry. Therefore, the been conducted a dilution method with organic solvents. On other hand, factor increases LOQ (limit quantitation), making difficult analyse below 100 ppb. In this study, propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate (PGMEA) was used solve problem excellent solubility, volatility, is widely semiconductor processing. A LOD detection) up 3.3 ppb 1.0 ppb, respectively, could achieved concentration by diluting PGMEA heating it. addition, reference materials were prepared octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane ensure accuracy; obtained an 88% recovery rate.

Determination of Nutrition Labeling Education Act Minerals in Foods by Inductively Coupled Plasma- Optical Emission Spectroscopy
The Nutrition Labeling Education Act of 1990 (NLEA) mandates significant reform of food labels and requires extensive chemical testing and analytical method development to implement. Many minerals and nutrient metals are targeted for labeling. Part of the analytical challenge to be met results from the large numbers of samples to be tested and widely divergent levels of the elements of interest...

متن کاملDetermination of 137Ba Isotope Abundances in Water Samples by Inductively Coupled Plasma-optical Emission Spectrometry Combined with Least-squares Support Vector Machine Regression
A simple and rapid method for the determination of 137Ba isotope abundances in water samples by inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) coupled with least-squares support vector machine regression (LS-SVM) is reported. By evaluation of emission lines of barium, it was found that the emission line at 493.408 nm provides the best results for the determination...
